Rosélys Chalkboard Menu Designs

The following chalkboard menu project is currently ongoing. As other design projects from Handyman And Designs, we first create our designs in Photoshop. Then, after we discuss each design with our client, we make revisions accordingly. Once we receive a final approval, we transfer each design onto selected pillars with white chalk pencils. Each menu image measures around 10-12 feet tall and all work is done during closing hours.

Marché Artisans Chalkboard Headings

Here we create chalkboard headings for Marché Artisans, located at Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth Hotel. First, we create each design in Photoshop. Then, once we receive an official go-ahead, we carefully and diligently transfer all designs onto boards with colored chalk. Each design has around three colors max. A minimal colors approach ensures a greater visual clarity when each board is seen from afar.

Faux Cement Counter-top

Faux Cement Counter-top

We cut, mount, and then scratch plywood baseboards here as a base for a faux cement counter-top. Between each coat of cement (5 coats total), we sand the surface to assure a better bond and finish. Once the final coat is dry, we clean the area of dust. We also section the zone off with plastic drapes to prevent dust from entering the area. Finally, we apply 2 coats of epoxy finish and voila, a durable and stunning finish!

Faux Brick & Faux Plaster Wall

Faux Plaster & Faux Brick Wall

An artistic combination of faux brick and faux plaster. We first carve holes into the wall and then apply a thin layer of wood as a backing. When the wood is secure, we then fill the areas with a light coat of plaster. Next, we apply a thin layer of faux-bricks in an orderly fashion. We then apply another layer of plaster over the bricks for a more natural and exposed brick look. During dry times and after, we chisel away the plaster to give decorative edges to the entire design. Finally, we paint the wall with washes of brown to give the wall a more rustic and finished look.

Chalkboard Menu Designs

Chalkboard Menu Designs

The following are chalkboard menu designs that we create for Milton B, an urban cafeteria located in the McGill Ghetto community. Similar to other custom projects and designs, we begin by creating a simple design in Photoshop. Once managements reviews the design and they approve it, we then transfer the images over onto their respective boards. We inscribe the designs with colored chalk to create a fashionable design that blends in well with the overall surroundings. To date, customers still compliment the designs.
