Handyman Rates & Fees

Handyman rates are provided on a Flat rate or Hourly basis. However, since all jobs differ in many ways, we urge you to contact us via phone or our Handyman Contact Form to discuss your project(s) in detail. At Handyman and Designs, we strive to make your experience with us a pleasure. As such, we respect your budget and try to provide great hourly or flat rates to accommodate your project as best we can.

Most significant benefits when you work with us:

  • Free in-person consultation for a $500 or more job and free email quotes for all jobs under $500.

Flat Rate Quotes have been gaining popularity over the years because it is more affordable than other services. They are also able to provide customers with a detailed estimate of how much time and money will be spent on their project.

Flat Rate Service Quote Meaning

Essentially, Flat rate service means “What you are quoted is exactly what you pay.” This service is beneficial for those who have been putting off repairs and improvements to their home for a long time. It can be difficult to get estimates from different contractors because they all have different rates. With a Handyman Flat Rate Service Quote, you know exactly what you are going to pay upfront and most importantly, what the work will include.

We offer you various “Flat Rates” for numerous projects or a single Flat Rate Quote for your entire to-do list. Our Flat Rates are competitive, and you will find the final cost to be within your budget. Our goal is to get you started with your project as painlessly as possible.

  • Quote duration
    All Flat Rate quotes are good for 30 days.
  • Parking and/or Materials
    Parking and/or material costs are included in all Flat Rate Quotes.
  • Material & handling fee: $45.00/trip
    All Flat Rate quotes include material & handling fees for pick up, preparation, and delivery of necessary supplies & materials for your project(s).

Hourly Rate

Another solution is our hourly rate of $50/hour and 2 hours minimum. Hourly rates are best for jobs requiring more than 2 hours. Examples include: helping deconstruct furniture and wall fixtures before a major relocation/move, an extra set of hands for difficult labor, assisting with assembling numerous pieces of furniture, landscaping help, etc.

The following additional charges may apply:

  • Material & handling fee: $40.00/trip
    A material & handling fee applies for each pick up, preparation, and delivery of necessary supplies & materials for your project(s), such as wood, railings, drywall panels, flooring, etc. Every additional trip after the first acquires an additional service charge.
  • Parking and/or Materials
    Fees for parking and any materials we need to purchase to complete your project are added to the base hourly rate of $50/hour.

The following assembly prices are for all brands (Ikea, West Elm, Economax, Walmart, Wayfair, Home Depot, Reno Depot, Bureau en Gros, The Brick, etc.). Discounts are available for orders of more than 3 pieces.

  • 3 drawer dresser: $50
  • 6 drawer dresser: $60-$90
  • Dresser 8+ Drawers: $80-$100
  • Nightstand: $40 each
  • Dual nightstands: $65
  • Single bed: $80 + $5/drawer
  • Bunk bed: $100-$140 + $5/drawer
  • Wall bed: $100-$140 + $5/drawer
  • Futon bed: $60

LIVING ROOM

  • Bookshelves: $60-$90 + $5/drawer
  • Sofa (love seat and 3 seat): $75
  • Sofa sectional: $100-$120

For an estimate of your commercial project(s), kindly forward us one or two photographs, along with a brief description of the required work, and your desired timeframe for completion.

Detailed information enables us to rapidly determine what is needed, provide an accurate estimate, and commence work as promptly as possible. Essentially, the more information you provide via our Handyman Contact Form, the more swiftly and efficiently we can serve your needs.

Do It Yourself (DIY) and Save!

We enjoy working with other do-it-yourself enthusiasts, therefore, we love to help you out wherever and whenever needed! An hourly rate of $45/hour applies for our hands-on assistance.

The following additional charges may apply:

  • Material & handling fee: $40.00/trip
    A material & handling fee applies for each pick up, preparation, and delivery of necessary supplies & materials for your project(s), such as wood, railings, drywall panels, flooring, etc. Every additional trip after the first acquires an additional service charge.
  • Parking and/or Materials
    Fees for parking and any materials we need to purchase to complete your project are added to the base DIY hourly rate of $45/hour.

Payment

We accept both Cash and E-Transfer as methods of payment. For credit card transactions, we process Visa, Mastercard, and American Express through PayPal.

Full payment for your project is due upon its completion. For projects exceeding $500, we require a 25% deposit of the total quoted amount before work begins. Depending on the duration of your project, weekly installment payments may also be arranged. This payment structure ensures a smooth and uninterrupted workflow, allowing us to concentrate on delivering the best service.
